Word to the Jaz is the debut studio album by American rapper Jaz, released in 1989 on EMI USA. It was produced by Jaz, Bryan "Chuck" New and Pete Q. Harris. The album is notable for featuring Jay-Z (credited as Jay Zee) in his first ever album appearances, as he contributes background vocals to numerous songs on the album (most notably "Hawaiian Sophie").

The album peaked at #87 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
