Derrick Jabbar Brown (born March 22, 1976), better known by his stage name Vitamin D, is an American record producer, rapper, DJ and audio engineer from Seattle, Washington. Widely acknowledged as one of the most important contributors to the Seattle hip hop scene and the founder of the "Seattle sound", Vitamin D is responsible for the production and engineering on many of the area's releases, most of which are recorded in his studio, The Pharmacy. His production career boasts work for artists such as Chali 2na, Strange Fruit Project, Redman, Young Buck and Black Sheep, amongst many others.

Beginning his hip hop career while still in high school, Vitamin D created the label Tribal Music Inc. and was responsible for production work on many of the label's releases. Most of his early work was completed while he was a part of the group Ghetto Chilldren, with whom he made several appearances on compilation albums released by Tribal Music Inc. The first incarnation of The Pharmacy was founded in his mother's basement, and has since moved locations on several occassions. The Pharmacy has an open-door policy, welcoming anyone from the community to come in and work. Vitamin D also mentors youth in the community, giving young people from rough neighborhoods the oppurtunity to make music.
