Jak Frawst grew up in Jamaica Queens, New York in a Jamaican household. He is an up and coming artist, not new to the Industry, but don’t call it a come back because he never left. He’s been working behind the scenes, for years now. Some of his accomplishments are; A founding member of the rap group Derelect Camp, they put out a song’ Move It In, Move It Out’ which made Billboards top 100 list. He wrote the hook for the song’ Da Hot Shit’ by Bell, Biv, Devoe and performed the same song on Soul Train, in 2005. He also produced Living My Life for Ray Cash, co-produced by Rockwilder on the Cash on Delivery album. He has also done production for All Access DVD Live Squad, E Money Bags and Nature. He introduced 50 Cent to DJ Rad and Olivia, He also performed with Craig G from the Juice Crew, Fugees, he has performed at Maria Davis Wild Out Wednesdays, his resume speaks for its self, and his accomplishments are way too extensive to try and summarize.
The Queens Rapper came out with a song in2017 under the alias Jakpot called,’A Time For Change’ the critique of the music connection inspired Jak to record in studios such as, Icon Studios Atlanta and Mirror Image in New York.
His latest work is a theme song from the play called’ Through Crystal’s Eyes’ released on all digital platforms. A stage play about a woman who was in an abusive relationship and how she survived it.
The follow up to that song is’ I Got to Make It’ produced by JazO and State of Emergency, and coproduced by Rockwilder.
His Goal now is to build his brand, perform and make more appearances. He started an Indie music company, looking to venture with a major record label, so he can continue to make great music and develop new talent.
