The Lost Generation is the second studio album by American rapper and Wu-Tang affiliate Shyheim. It was released on May 28, 1996 under Noo Trybe Records and Virgin Records. Recording sessions took place at Neptune Factor Studios, Quad Recording Studios, Chung King Studios, 36 Chambers Studio and Nexx Level Studios in New York City and at Spark Studios in Los Angeles from May 1995 to February 1996. Production was handled by RNS, L.E.S., DR Period, Tone Capone, RZA, Peter Lord, The King of Chill, and V. Jeffrey Smith. It features guest appearances by Smoothe Da Hustler, Trigger Tha Gambler, D.V. Alias Khrist, Squig, GP Wu members: June Luva, Pop The Brown Hornet, Rubbabandz & Down Low Recka, Lamisha Grinstead & Keemeelah Williams of 702 and Killarmy members: Killa Sin & 9th Prince.
The album debuted at #63 on the US Billboard 200 chart and #10 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums in the United States. The Lost Generation released the two singles: "Shit Iz Real" (which peaked at #84 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and #26 on the Hot Rap Songs) and "Shaolin Style".
