Past members

Strange Fruit Project was an American hip hop group from Waco, Texas. The group consisted of rapper/producer S1, and rappers Myth and Myone. Singer Lysoul was a member of the group for their debut album.

The group was founded in 1996 as a duo consisting of cousins S1 and Myth and was originally known as Symbolyc Elementz, but the group changed their name when Myone joined the group in 2000. The group made their debut in 2002 with the album From Divine, followed by Soul Travelin' in 2004. Both albums received little commercial attention, but the latter was critically acclaimed and featured the single "All the Way", which received heavy airplay on college radio stations and was chosen as Song of the Year by BBC Radio in 2004.

Following the critical success of their previous album, the group signed a deal with Om Records. The group gained considerable underground hype for their 2006 album The Healing, which was generally well received. They released the compilation album The Lost Documents Volume 1 the following year, before going on a short hiatus. They returned in 2011 for the album A Dreamer's Journey, released via iTunes and Bandcamp.
