Connor Croft, known professionally as Standalone, is a British rapper from Birmingham, born on April 1. Growing up in the city, he developed an early passion for music, inspired in part by artists like Michael Jackson during his childhood.

During his teenage years, Standalone faced severe anxiety, along with other mental issues, which led him to find solace in hip-hop. Influenced initially by American new wave artists such as XXXTentacion, Juice WRLD, and Lil Peep, his sound has since evolved, drawing heavily from the styles of Young Thug, Travis Scott, and Future.

At 14, Standalone was introduced to drugs and experienced a complex social environment during school. By 15, he began experimenting with stronger substances as a coping mechanism. Despite these struggles, he taught himself vocal mixing on FL Studio and immersed himself in the underground hip-hop scene, taking inspiration from artists like Yeat and REDDA.

Today, Standalone creates music that combines new wave ambient and supertrap beats, reflecting his personal journey and growth. He is dedicated to his craft and seeks to make an impact on the rap scene while inspiring others through his work.
