Richard Martin Lloyd Walters (born January 14, 1965), better known by his stage name Slick Rick, is a British-American rapper and record producer from the Bronx, New York. He began his hip hop music career in the mid-1980s, where he recorded a series of acclaimed recordings such as "La Di Da Di" and "Children's Story". He is known for the use of narrative in his raps and has been called "hip hop's greatest storyteller".

Slick Rick rose to stardom in an era known to fans as the Golden Era age of hip hop. His music has been frequently sampled and referenced by other artists such as Black Star, The Notorious B.I.G. and Snoop Dogg. Walters was granted American citizenship in 2016.
