Shyheim Dionel Franklin (born November 14, 1979), better known by his mononym Shyheim, is an American rapper and actor from Staten Island, New York. He is best known for his affiliation with the Wu-Tang Clan when he was a teenager in the early-to-mid 1990s. In addition to his rapping career, Franklin has appeared in the films Original GangstasIn Too Deep and The Preacher's Wife. He has been serving a fourteen year sentence for manslaughter in prison since 2014.

Shyheim released his debut studio album, AKA the Rugged Child, in 1994. The album featured a track produced by RZA, and guest appearances by Wu-Tang affiliates such as Rubbabandz and Pop da Brown Hornet. Its lead single and Franklin's most successful single, "On and On", reached #7 on the Billboard R&B chart. His second album, The Lost Generation, was released in 1996. His third album, Manchild, was released in 1999, and is best known for its single "Furious Anger" featuring Big L. Shyheim embarked on a musical hiatus in the early 2000s, and returned when he founded his own record label Bottom Up Records in 2004. He released two solo albums on the label: The Greatest Story Never Told in 2004 and Disrespectfully Speaking in 2009.

On 1 January 2014, Franklin was involved in a car accident which left one person dead. He was driving a friend's car when he ran through a stop sign and collided the victim's car. Franklin took off on foot. At the time of the accident, he was out on bail following an April 2013 arrest on gun and drug possession charges. Franklin turned himself into police one week later. On 24 August 2014, Shyheim was sentenced to fourteen years in prison after he pled guilty to second degree manslaughter. He also received a concurrent term of seven years for a gun conviction, and is subject to five years' post release supervision.
