Section 8 is the fourth studio album by American Hip hop artist MC Eiht, and his second solo album outside the Compton's Most Wanted brand. It was released on June 8, 1999 through Hoo Bangin' Records and Priority Records. Recording sessions took place at Echo Sound Studio, Front Page Studios and Can Am Studios in Los Angeles from June 1998 to March 1999. Production was handled by Ant Banks, Fredwreck, DJ Raw Steel, Binky Mack, Young Tre, Bird, Black Hole, DJ Slip, Julio G. and MC Eiht himself, with Hoo Bangin' Records founder Mack 10 serving as executive producer. It includes guest appearances by Ice Cube, Mack 10, Techniec, Soultre, High "T", Val Young and Compton's Most Wanted members: Boom Bam and Tha Chill.

The album debuted at #54 on the US Billboard 200 and #5 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in the United States. Section 8 spawned the singles: "Thicker Than Water", "The Hood Still Got Me Under" and "Automatic" (which made it to #62 on the Hot R&B/Hot Rap Songs and #6 on the Hot Rap Songs). Music videos were also created for all three of the singles.
