Same As It Ever Was is the second studio album by Irish-American Hip hop group House of Pain. It was released in June 28, 1994 under Tommy Boy Records and Buzz Tone Entertainment. The album is the follow up from their critically acclaimed self-titled debut House of Pain (album) released in 1992. Recording sessions were mostly taken place at Image Recording Studios in Hollywood, California from September 1992 to August 1993. The production on the album was handled by DJ Muggs, Diamond D, DJ Lethal and Tha Baka Boyz. It includes a guest appearance by Diamond D himself.
The album peaked at #12 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and on the Billboard 200. Same As It Ever Was was supported by the singles: "On Point", "Who's The Man?" and "It Ain't a Crime".
