Rakeem Calief Myer (born 11 February 1978), better known by his stage name Roc Marciano, is an American rapper and record producer from Long Island, New York. First rising to prominence as a member of the Flipmode Squad, Roc Marciano left in 2001 to form The UN, with whom he released the album UN or U Out in 2004. Since 2008, Roc Marciano has been working on his solo career, and to widespread critical acclaim, released his entirely self-produced debut solo album, Marcberg, in 2010. 

In 2011, Roc Marciano collaborated with Gangrene, a duo consisting of Oh No and The Alchemist, to release the collaborative EP Greneberg. His second solo album, Reloaded, was released in 2012. The following year, Marciano released the free mixtape The Pimpire Strikes Back as a prelude to his third studio album, Marci Beaucoup, released that same year.
