"Regulate" is a song by American rapper Warren G featuring Nate Dogg. Released in the spring of 1994, the track appeared on the soundtrack to the film Above the Rim and later Warren G's album Regulate...G Funk Era. Produced by Warren G, the track makes heavy use of a four-bar sample of Michael McDonald's song "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)".
The song was an international hit, reaching the top 20 of music charts in Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. In the United States, it reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and topped the Hot Rap Singles chart. It is considered the breakout single for both artists, and is Warren G's most well-known and successful song.
