Pure Poverty is the second studio album by American Hip hop group Poor Righteous Teachers, released in July 1, 1991 under Profile Records. Recording sessions for the album were held at Prince Studios in New York City and Epsilon Studios in Trenton, NJ from 1990 to 1991. The album primarily produced by Tony D. This album was another acclaimed effort for the group, but wasn't as commercially successful as their debut Holy Intellect.
The album spawned the singles: "Shakiyla (JRH)" and "Easy Star".
