Project Blowed is an open-mic workshop, its affiliated underground hip hop crew and record label based in Los Angeles, California. It is attended by many hip hop artists, groups, and dancers local to the Southern California area.
The roots of Project Blowed can be traced back to the Good Life Cafe, a health food center in South Central Los Angeles that became known for its open mic performances. Project Blowed was founded by notable Good Life attendees Aceyalone and Abstract Rude in December 1994. In 1995, Project Blowed released a self-titled compilation album that featured its participants.
In addition to its original location in Los Angeles, additional workshops have been opened in Inland Empire, Las Vegas and Austin.
