Richard Duane Griffin (born August 1, 1960), better known by his stage name Professor Griff, is an American rapper, record producer, spoken word artist and lecturer from Long Island, New York. He first came to prominence as the Minister of Information for group Public Enemy before departing due to a controversy regarding homophobic and anti-semitic statements made during his interviews. Griffin relocated to Atlanta and released three solo albums before reuniting with the group in the mid-1990s, where he remains.
