Piñata is the debut collaborative studio album by American rapper Freddie Gibbs and record producer Madlib. It was released in March 18, 2014 through Madlib Invazion. Recording sessions took place at The Bomb Shelter in Glendale, California from January 2011 to August 2013. Production was handled entirely by Madlib himself. It includes guest appearances from Danny Brown, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis, Raekwon, Scarface, Ab-Soul, Polyester the Saint, Mac Miller, G-Wiz, Casey Veggies, Sulaiman, Meechy Darko, BJ the Chicago Kid and Big Time Watts.

The album debuted at #39 on the US Billboard 200, #11 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, #6 on the Independent Albums chart and #7 on the Top Rap Albums chart in the United States, with the sales of 9,000 copies in its first week. Pinata spawned the three singles: "Thuggin'", "Deeper" and "Shame". Pinata was met with widespread critical acclaim from music critics.
