Damani Thompson (born 29 April 1974), better known by his stage name Phesto, is an American rapper and record producer from Los Angeles, California. He is best known as a member of the group Souls of Mischief and collective Hieroglyphics. Phesto has contributed to all six Souls of Mischief albums, as well as the two three Hieroglyphics albums.
Phesto was the last member of Souls of Mischief to release a solo album, releasing Background Check in 2012. He released his second solo album, Infrared Rum, two years later.
