Outburst Records gained fame for their release of Domino’s self-titled debut album in 1993 which led them to become the first West Coast-based label to be distributed under the Rush Associated Label (RAL) sub-group of Def Jam Recordings. The label would go on to sign on other artists such as BG Knoccout, Dresta, and MoKenStef in 1995.

The label soon went defunct in late 1997.
