Money, Power & Respect, is the debut studio album by American Hip hop group The LOX. It was released on January 13, 1998 via Bad Boy Records and Arista Records. Recording sessions took place at Caribbean Sound Basin in Trinidad and at Daddy's House Recording Studios, Sony Music Studios, Chung King Studios, The Hit Factory and Sound On Sound in New York City from August 1996 to June 1997. Production was handled by Sean Combs, Pent P.K., Dame Grease, Rob "Arsee" Carter, Swizz Beatz and The Hitmen (Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie, Nashiem Myrick, Ron "Amen-Ra" Lawrence, Richard "Younglord" Frierson, Jeffrey "J-Dub" Walker, and Carlos "Six July" Broady), with co-production by Jay Garfield and Stevie J. It features guest appearances by DMX, Lil' Kim, Kelly Price, Carl Thomas and Sean "Puffy" Combs himself.
The album peaked at #3 on the US Billboard 200 and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts in the US for selling over 110,000 copies in its first week. The album was later certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipping and selling 1,000,000 copies in America. Money, Power & Respect was supported by the singles: "We'll Always Love Big Poppa", "If You Think I'm Jiggy" and the title song "Money, Power & Respect.
