Malpractice is the fifth studio album by American rapper Redman. It was released on May 22, 2001 via Def Jam Recordings. Recording sessions took place at Mirror Image Studios in New York City and at Westlake Audio and The Enterprise in Los Angeles through May 2000 to February 2001. Production was handled by Redman (under the name Da Mascot), Erick Sermon, Rockwilder, Saukrates, Adam F., DJ Twinz and Diverse, with co-production by DJ Destruction. It features guest appearances from Adam F., G. Forbes, DJ Kool, Treach (of Naughty by Nature), Icarus, Method Man, Scarface, Jamal, Streetlife, Saukrates, The Drama Squad, D-Don, Shooga Bear, Roz, Pacewon (of Outsidaz), Double O, Keith Murray and Missy Elliott.

The album reached #4 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in the United States. Malpratice release the two singles: "Let's Get Dirty (I Can't Get In Da Club)" and "Smash Sumthin'". On June 21, 2001, the album was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over 500,000 copies and the album sold over 148,000 copies in its first week of release, becoming Redman's first US top ten as a solo act and marks his highest first-week sales.
