Make Way for the Motherlode is the debut studio album by American Hip hop recording artist Yo-Yo. It was released in March 19, 1991 under EastWest Records and Atlantic Records. Recording sessions for the album was occurred at Echo Sound in Los Angeles from April 1990 to January 1991. The production on the album was handled by Ice Cube, Sir Jinx and Del the Funky Homosapien. Features guest appearances by Ice Cube, Dazzie Dee, Diamond, Dawn and Sparkles (of I.B.W.C.).
Make Way for the Motherlode charted well on the Billboard Charts, peaking at #74 on the Billboard 200 and #5 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album was supported by the singles: "You Can't Play With My Yo-Yo", "Stompin' to the '90's", "Ain't Nobody Better" and "Girl, Don't Be No Fool".
