Otis Jackson, Jr. (born 24 October 1973), better known by his stage name Madlib, is an American DJ, record producer, and rapper. Known under many pseudonyms, he is one of the most prolific and critically acclaimed hip hop producers of the 2000s and has collaborated with many hip hop musicians, such as MF DOOM (as Madvillain) and the late J Dilla (as Jaylib). Madlib has described himself as a "DJ first, producer second, and MC last".
