Lifers Group (1991)

Living Proof is the debut studio album by American hip hop group Lifers Group, released in 1993 on Hollywood BASIC and Solid Productions. The album was produced predominantly by Danish record producers Doctor Jam, Madness 4 Real and Phase 5, with two songs produced by labelmates Organized Konfusion. In addition to the vocals being performed by inmates at East Jersey State Prison, live instrumentation is performed by inmates.

The album was not a success commercially and failed to reach any US Billboard charts. Two songs were released as singles: "Short Life of a Gangsta" and "Jack U. Back (So You Wanna Be a Gangsta)", but both songs did not attain any chart success. It was the only full-length album released by the group.
