Wanted: Dead or Alive (1990)

Live and Let Die is the third and final studio album by American hip hop duo Kool G Rap & DJ Polo, released in 1992 on Cold Chillin' Records. Compared to the lyrical themes on the duo's previous albums, this album features an even greater focus on hardcore gangsta and mafioso lyrics. The violence and sexual content are much more graphic on the duo's previous albums. Kool G Rap recruited several non-East Coast artists to assist him, such as West Coast artists Ice Cube and his cohort Sir Jinx, and Southern rappers Scarface and Bushwick Bill of the Geto Boys. The album was recorded at various studios in Los Angeles, California.

Although the album was initially planned for a 1991 release, it encountered several dilemmas due to record label issues and the album's contrversial content. Cold Chillin' was involved in a legal battle with its artist Biz Markie over sampling rights, while their distributor Warner Bros. Records was involved in Ice-T's "Cop Killer" controversy. Due to the album's cover art and song content, both labels were reluctant to give the album a release, as they didn't want to get themselves into further legal troubles. While the project was on hold, Kool G Rap spent almost one year re-writing and recording the album until it was finally released in late 1992.

Although Live and Let Die didn't receive the same amount of commercial success and attention as the duo's earlier releases, it is widely favored among fans and critics alike, and is often considered as Kool G Rap's best work. The album peaked at #185 on the Billboard 200, and #18 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. The singles "Ill Street Blues" and "On the Run" both received consistent airplay on Yo! MTV Raps and Rap City upon the album's release.
