Little Brother are an American hip hop duo from Durham, North Carolina. The group consists of rappers Phonte and Big Pooh. Record producer and DJ 9th Wonder was an original member of the group but departed in 2007. The group has released five acclaimed studio albums and six mixtapes. Little Brother is highly regarded among fans and critics.

The three members met each other in 1998 while attending North Carolina Central University. After signing to the independent label ABB Records in 2002, Little Brother released their debut album, The Listening, the following year to critical acclaim, and resulted in the group signing to Atlantic Records. Their second album, The Minstrel Show, released in 2005, featured a theme that compared present day hip hop music and the music industry to the minstrel shows of the late 19th century.

While recording their third album, Little Brother announced that they had departed from Atlantic and 9th Wonder had left the group due to creative differences. In 2007, the group released their long awaited follow-up, Getback, which sold well despite having no major video or radio airplay. Shortly after the release of their fourth album, Leftback, Little Brother formally announced the group's break up in 2010. However, the members of the group remained on good terms with each other and continued to collaborate.

In 2019, Phonte and Big Pooh reunited as Little Brother to release the album May the Lord Watch. It features no contributions by 9th Wonder.
