Symere Bysil Woods (born July 31, 1995), better known by their stage name Lil Uzi Vert, is an American rapper from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Woods originally gained recognition following the release of their Luv Is Rage mixtape in 2015, which led to a record deal with Atlantic Records under DJ Drama's Generation Now imprint. Woods' climb into the mainstream began with the single "Money Longer" which debuted at #92 on the US Billboard Hot 100, their first entry on the chart. Their subsequent mixtape, Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World, debuted at #37 on the Billboard 200 and was later certified Gold in sales. They earned their first Billboard #1 single with a feature on Migos' song "Bad and Boujee", and later had their first top ten single as a lead artist with "XO Tour Llif3" at #7. Woods' debut studio album, Luv Is Rage 2, was released in August 2017, and debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, later being certified Platinum.
