Darryl Kevin Richardson (born 1984), better known by his stage name Lil Scrappy, is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. Lil Scrappy was discovered by Lil Jon while performing at a bar, and was one of the first signings to Lil Jon's BME Recordings. He has built a strong reputation and following throughout the Atlanta hip hop scene and Southeastern United States through various mixtape releases.  His first album was a 2 disc album The Kings Of Crunk & BME recordings present: Trillville and Lil Scrappy was released on February 24, 2004 boasting 5 singles, Head Bussa (2003) Neva Eva (2004) No Problems (2004) Get some Crunk in Yo System (2005) Some Cutt (2005). The album debut at #12 on Billboard 200 and #3 on Top R&B and HipHop and sold 115,000 copies in its first week. The album was certified gold by the RIAA on March 26, 2004. On May 11, 2005 the album was certified 3x platinum in the U.S. selling 3,194,327 copies or 1,597,163 copies due to the album being double disc. On December 5, 2006 Lil Scrappy's first solo album was released with rave reviews under BME & G-Unit records. In March of 2006, the first single Money In The Bank was a huge success and the single was certified gold in one month and was later certified platinum. On May 2006 the second single Gangsta Gangsta was released. In January 2007, the third single Oh Yeah (work) was released. The album peaked at number 24 on Billboard charts selling 82,000 copies in it's first week and by August 2008 the album has sold 325,000 copies in the U.S.

Since 2012, he has appeared in the television series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta
