Jorge Alvarez, better known by his stage name Kurious, is an American rapper from New York City, New York. Former 3rd Bass members Pete Nice and DJ Richie Rich helped Kurious sign a record deal with Columbia Records through Bobbito and Pete Nice's Hoppoh imprint. He released his debut single, "Walk Like a Duck", in 1992. His debut album, A Constipated Monkey, was released in 1994.
Kurious then withdrew from the hip hop scene, only making two guest appearances ("El Gran Combo" by Main One and "Independence Day" by Lower Life Forms) and releasing no solo material from 1995 to 1998. He re-emerged in 1999 on the MF DOOM song "?" from the album Operation: Doomsday. Kurious released a new single, "All Great" in 2001, and began making more frequent guest appearances. In 2009, he released his second studio album, II.
