"Keep Ya Head Up" is a single by American rapper 2Pac, released in 1993 on Interscope Records. It is the fourth single from his 1993 album Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.... The song features R&B singer Dave Hollister under the stage name "The Black Angel", and was produced by DJ Daryl. The beat is sampled from "Be Alright" by Zapp, and uses the chorus from "O-o-h Child" by The Five Stairsteps.
The music video for the song begins with a dedication to Latasha Harlins, a 15-year-old African-American girl was unlawfully shot and killed by a Korean store owner, who claimed self-defense. The video has a basic format with Shakur seen rapping in the middle of a crowd of people, and has some scenes where he raps while holding a child. His mother Afeni Shakur also appears in the video.
The song later appeared on his 1998 Greatest Hits compilation. A sequel to the song, "Baby Don't Cry (Keep Ya Head Up II)", was released on Still I Rise, a 1999 album by 2Pac and Outlawz.
