Jarad Anthony Higgins, better known as Juice WRLD, was an American recording artist. Born December 2nd, 1998 in Chicago, Illinois, and died December 8th, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. He was only 21 at the time of his death, which was caused by a seizure from an accidental overdose. He had a one year relationship with instagram star Ally Lotti from 2018 to his death in 2019.
Here is how Juice WRLD/ Jarad Higgins met Ally:
He and Lotti had began messaging on Instagram, after she’d slid into his DMs: “Good music,” and “Keep it up, kid.” Juice, a famous musician with a mega-hit under his belt, was reduced to a hard-crushing 19-year-old kid. A few months later, while on tour, he drives to Providence, Rhode Island to meet Lotti for the first time. They meet. It goes well, he thinks. “I was going to leave the hotel room, write her a note: ‘Did you like me?’ Yes or no, circle, and just slide that under the door,” he stated. “If you like me, still be here when I get back upstairs. And if you don't, I'm sorry. You're pretty. Bye!” She didn’t leave. They spent the next four days together. Lotti was living in Memphis at the time. Owned a house there, actually, where she lived with her two dogs. She hasn’t been back since. Shortly after those four days, she moved out to L.A. with Juice. She had all her stuff, including her two pups, shipped. She was on the plane when the tragic event of Juice’s death occurred.
Juice WRLD’s lucky number (999) meant a lot to him and here’s what it meant: Juice stated in an interview that the number “999” meant, “taking whatever ill, whatever bad situation, whatever struggle you're going through and turning it into something positive to push yourself forward.” Pretty much you're flipping the Negative (666) into something better and more Positive (999).
Juice revealed that he used to have Tupac's high-top "Juice" haircut with a clean line in the front, sticking with it for his name. As for "WRLD," he thinks it came from a literal misspelling of the word, saying that in his attempt to take over the world, he ended up embracing it.
Juice WRLD rose to fame after his hit single, All Girls Are The Same (released 2018). He thought his track "Moonlight" was going to blow him up but it ended up being another track on his "999 EP", Lucid Dreams. Lucid Dreams was a track produced by Nickolas Mira of the Internet Money Music Group. The melody uses a sample from Stings "Shape of My Heart." Lucid Dreams peaked at #2 on the billboard charts and went 6 times Platinum.
On March 8, 2019, he released his second album titled, "Death Race For Love" which climbed up to 26 on the billboard charts and was certified 2 times platinum. Juice WRLD later released a single with YoungBoy Never Broke Again titled "Bandit" which would be Juice WRLD's last song he released while he was living.
He collaborated with Lyrical Lemonade frequently to create music videos for his tracks: Lucid Dreams, All Girls Are The Same, Bandit ft. NBA Youngboy, Robbery, Armed And Dangerous then Doomsday ft. Cordae, Bad Boy ft. Young Thug and finally Godzilla ft. Juice WRLD which were all released after his passing.
