Jesse Samuel Williams III (born December 4, 1967), known professionally as Jesse West and 3rd Eye, is an American rapper and record producer. He was born in the Bronx, New York. Williams was one of the first rappers signed to Motown Records and released his debut studio album, No Prisoners, in 1989. He worked extensively as a record producer for East Coast hip hop artists in the early 1990s. Williams was one of Bad Boy Records' first inhouse producers known as "The Hitmen" and recorded the demo of The Notorious B.I.G.

Williams contributed the song "Ease Up" with The Group Home to the soundtrack of the 1993 film Who's the Man?. He returned to his solo rapping career when he released the single "The Alps" in 1996. Williams' second studio album, Planets, was released in 1997. He released the single "24/7" as a member of the group of the same name with rapper Nine in 1998.
