Joseph M. Tom (born November 8, 1973), better known by his stage name JT the Bigga Figga, is an American rapper and record producer from the Fillmore neighborhood of San Francisco, California. In 1991, JT founded the label Get Low Recordz, and released his debut album, Don't Stop 'til We Major, the following year at the age of 18. His 1993 follow-up album, Playaz n the Game, featured the single "Game Recognize Game", which received significant airplay. The success of the album led to a bidding war amongst record labels, and JT eventually signed to Priority Records in 1995. His third studio album, Dwellin' in tha Labb, was released that same year on Get Low and Priority Records, but was commercially unsuccessful and Priority released JT from his contract. JT went back to self-distributing to his albums through his own label, and spent the money earned from his deal with Priority to make a state of the art recording studio and began rapidly producing and releasing numerous albums.

In 2005, JT was named A&R for the West Coast operations of the Houston based Rap-A-Lot Records. In 2015, he founded the Netflix-like on-demand service Trapflix, which showcases urban films, documentaries, concert footage, and music.
