Internal Affairs is the solo debut studio album by American Hip hop and Organized Konfusion member Pharoahe Monch. It was released on October 19, 1999 via Rawkus Records and Priority Records. Recording sessions took place at Grandma Hands Studio, Mirror Image Recorders and Unique Recording Studios in New York City from June 1998 to April 1999. Production was handled by Diamond D, The Alchemist, DJ Scratch, Lee Stone and Pharoahe Monch himself. It features guest appearances from Canibus, Busta Rhymes, M.O.P., Apani B. Fly, Prince Po, Redman, Method Man, Lady Luck, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Talib Kweli and Common.
The album reached #41 on the Billboard 200 and #6 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Internal Affairs released the two singles: "Simon Says" (which peaked at #97 on the Billboard 200, #29 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks and #3 on the Hot Rap Singles) and "The Light" (which peaked at #30 on the Hot Rap Singles chart in the United States).
