Jason Richard Hunter (born July 6, 1970), better known by his stage name Inspectah Deck, is an American rapper, record producer and member of the Wu-Tang Clan. He has acquired critical praise for his intricate lyricism, and for his verses on many of the group's most revered songs. Hunter's verse on the song "Triumph" is often named as one of the greatest rap verses of all time.
Hunter was the second most featured member on the Wu-Tang Clan's debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), and provided highly acclaimed verses for the songs "C.R.E.A.M.", "Protect Ya Neck", "Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthin' ta F' Wit"", and "Da Mystery of Chessboxin'". In the years following, Hunter would appear on several Wu members' solo projects, before releasing his own solo album, Uncontrolled Substance, in 1999. Hunter continued contributing to Wu-Tang Clan group albums, while still releasing solo albums, with The Movement in 2003, The Resident Patient in 2006, and Manifesto in 2010.
Hunter formed the group Czarface with duo 7L & Esoteric in 2013.
