Icy Blu (born Laurel Yurchick on June 1, 1974 in Austin, Texas) is an American, former rap recording artist and singer. She was hailed as "the female Vanilla Ice" and compared to Ice as such. Singing with Giant Records, her eponymous debut and only album was released in October 1991, distributed by Reprise Records and Warner Bros. Records. A couple singles from her album, "Pump It (Nice an' Hard)" and "I Wanna Be Your Girl", both of which made the Billboard Hot 100, were released. "Pump It" contains a sample of Salt-n-Pepa's "Push It" with even the titles being similar. Icy Blu's album somehow got lost in the shuffle and she ended up dropping out of sight.
