Howard Anthony Thompson, better known by his stage name Howie Tee, is an American record producer and DJ from Brooklyn, New York. He was born in England and has West Indian origin.
Thompson began his career in the early 1980s as a member of the electro rap group CD III, with whom he released three singles. He then embarked on a solo career as a record producer and first worked with group Whistle, for whom he produced the 1985 single "Nothing Serious (Just Buggin')". Thompson signed with New Jersey-based Select Records as an inhouse producer, and worked extensively with rapper Chubb Rock, with whom he released the albums Chubb Rock Featuring Hitman Howie Tee in 1988 and And the Winner Is... in 1989. Thompson however is perhaps best known for producing the 1989 single "I Got It Made" by rapper Special Ed.
During the early 1990s, Thompson worked with a wider variety of artists, including R&B groups. He has produced songs for Maxi Priest, Madonna, Heavy D, Patra and most notably Color Me Badd! Currently his music appears in movies, videos and commercials. Howie continued to create music and has a treasure trove of unreleased songs!
