Homebase is the fourth studio album by American Hip hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. It was released in July 23, 1991 through Jive Records and MCA Records. Recording sessions took place at Battery Studios and Soundtrack Studios in New York City and at The Warehouse/J.E.M. Recording Studios in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from May 1990 to April 1991. Production was entirely handled by DJ Jazzy Jeff, with additional production from Hula & K. Fingers. It includes guest appearances by El-Sid, Jazz Fresh and LaVette.

The album debuted at #12 on the Billboard 200 and #5 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Homebase spawned the three hit singles: "Summertime" (which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and on the Hot Rap Songs chart), "Ring My Bell" (which peaked at #22 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and #20 on the Hot 100, On November 22, 1991, the song received a gold certification from the RIAA for sales of 500,000 copies) and "The Things That U Do" (which reached #43 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart in the US). Homebase was certified platinum and won an American Music Award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album in 1992. The album met with generally favorable reviews from music critics.
