H.W.A. (an initialism of Hoes with Attitudes) is an American female hip hop trio from Compton, Caliornia. The group is composed of Jazz, Diva and Baby Girl. They were most active from 1989 until 1994, during which time they were signed to Ruthless Records before breaking up. The group reformed in April 2012.
The three members came together in 1989 to record their debut album, Livin' in a Hoe House, which was released in 1990 on Drive-By Records. The album was not a huge success, but the group became known for their sexually explicit lyrics and were signed to Ruthless. On the label, they released their EP, Az Much Ass Azz U Want, in 1994. After the EP ran its course, H.W.A disbanded without any further releases.
