Extra Prolific was an American hip hop duo from Oakland, California. The duo consisted of rapper/producer Snupe and DJ Mike G, who were both members of the collective Hieroglyphics. Extra Prolific followed the Souls of Mischief and became the second group to splinter from the collective, signing to Jive Records. The duo released their only album Like It Should Be in 1994, which spawned a minor hit with the single "Brown Sugar".
Mike G later left the group, while Snupe kept the Extra Prolific name and continues to release music under the name.
