Major Norton III (born November 19, 1974), better known by his stage name Dubee and formerly Dubee aka Sugawolf, is an American rapper from Vallejo, California. A former high school and junior college football star, Norton turned down a scholarship offer from Washington State to sign a record deal with Vallejo-based label Young Black Brotha Records.[1] In 1996, he released his debut studio album, Dubee aka Sugawolf. He released one more album, For That $crilla, on Young Black Brotha the following year.

In 1999, he joined Coolio da Unda Dogg's record label, Cavvy R. Records, to release his third album, Dangerous Prospects. In 2003, he signed to Mac Dre's record label Thizz Entertainment, and has since released four studio albums on the label.

Personal life[edit | edit source]

During the first five months of 1997, Norton became a father to three children by three women.[1]

Legal issues[edit | edit source]

In 1996, Norton was charged with attempted murder. According to police, he was attending a party next door to his parents' home in Country Club Crest, Vallejo, in the early morning of 10 March. A disagreement broke out, and Norton allegedly fired five to eight gunshots at a man fleeing the scene behind the wheel of a car. The man received a superficial wound in his back. The charges were dropped a day before the trial began.[1]
