Doc's da Name 2000 is the fourth studio album by American Hip hop artist Redman. It was released in December 8, 1998 under Def Jam Recordings. Recording sessions took place at Mirror Image Studios and Soundtrack Studios in New York City and Enterprise Recording Studios in Los Angeles from 1997 to 1998. Production was handled by Erick Sermon, Reggie Noble, Roni Size, Rockwilder and Gov Mattic. It includes guest appearances by Method Man, Busta Rhymes, Diezzel Don & Gov Mattic, Double O, Roz, Young Zee, Keith Murray, Erick Sermon, Markie (aka Mr. Cream) and Dave Hollister.
The album peaked at #11 on the US Billboard 200 chart and #1 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, becoming his third number one on the chart. On February 17, 1999, the album was certified platinum by Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of over a million copies. The album was certified only two months after being released. As of October 2009, the album has 2,875,000 copies in the United States.
Doc's da Name 2000 spawned the singles: "Da Goodness" and "I'll Bee Dat!".
