Dingilizwe Thompson Dumile (3 August 1973 - 23 April 1993), better known by his stage name DJ Subroc, was an English DJ, record producer and rapper from Long Island, New York. Subroc formed KMD with his older brother Zev Love X, and released the album Mr. Hood in 1991. Although production was credited to the group, Subroc served as its sole producer with the exception of two tracks.

Death Edit

While working on the group's second album, Black Bastards, Subroc was hit by a car while attempting to cross the Long Island Expressway on 23 April 1993. Soon after, KMD was dropped from Elektra Records, bringing production and the release of the album to a halt. Subroc's death had a profound effect on his brother, who disappeared from the hip hop scene for four years before reemerging under the stage name MF DOOM.
