Craig Curry, better known by his stage name Craig G, is an American rapper from Queensbridge, Queens, New York. He is perhaps best known as one of the members of the Juice Crew.
He recorded his debut single "Shout" with Marley Marl in 1985 at twelve years old, and in 1988 recorded "The Symphony" alongside other members of the Juice Crew. Craig G was signed by Atlantic Records and released the albums The Kingpin in 1989 and Now, That's More Like It in 1991 with little promotion. After his experience with Atlantic, his career went quiet for much of the 1990s, although he regained popularity with underground rap fans later in the decade.
In the early 2000s, Craig G became a leading freestyle battle rapper, memorably battling Supernatural on several occasions. Craig G wrote and coordinated the battle verses used by Eminem's opponents in the 2003 film 8 Mile. That same year, Craig G released the album This Is Now!!!, his first in twelve years. In 2008, he released the Marley Marl collaboration album Operation Take Hip Hop Back. His latest album, Ramblings of an Angry Old Man, was released in 2012 exclusively through iTunes.
