Corey Miller (born 9 March 1971), better known by his stage name C-Murder, is an American rapper who is currently serving a life sentence in prison for murder. Miller is the brother of Silkk the Shocker and Master P, and rose to prominence on the latter's record label, No Limit Records. Miller made appearances on several of his labelmates' albums, before releasing his platinum debut album Life or Death in 1998. His second album, Bossalinie, peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200, while his third album, Trapped in Crime, reached #8 on the same chart. The latter album features his most well known single, "Down for My N's", which has guest appearances from Snoop Dogg and Magic. In 2001, Miller released his fourth album, C-P-3.com, his final for No Limit.
In September 2003, Miller was convicted for the beating and fatal shooting of a fan, 16-year-old Steve Thomas, at the now-closed Platinum Club nightclub in Harvey, Louisiana. While imprisoned, he released the album The Truest Shit I Ever Said in 2005. Miller was granted a new trial, and was placed on house arrest, during which he released the 2008 album Screamin' 4 Vengeance. On 14 August 2009, Miller was sentenced to mandatory life imprisonment for the murder. Miller is serving his sentence at the Louisiana State Penitentiary.
