"Boyz-n-the-Hood" is the solo debut song by American rapper Eazy-E as a part of gangsta rap group N.W.A, released in 1987 on Ruthless Records. Fellow N.W.A member Ice Cube wrote the song for another group on the label called H.B.O., but after they rejected it Eazy was convinced to record it. The song was originally on the compilation album N.W.A. and the Posse, and was later remixed and featured on Eazy-E's debut album Eazy-Duz-It in 1988. It was remixed again on Eazy-E's 1993 EP It's On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa under the name "Boyz-n-the Hood (G-Mix)".
