Curtis Eugene Cross (born 14 August 1983), better known by his stage name Black Milk, is an American rapper and record producer from Detroit, Michigan. He is heavily affiliated with the Detroit hip hop scene, having worked with Slum Village, J Dilla, Danny Brown, Guilty Simpson, Elzhi, Phat Kat and Frank-n-Dank on numerous occasions. Black Milk is a former member of the groups B.R. Gunna with Young RJ and Fat Ray, and Random Axe with Sean Price and Guilty Simpson.
Beginning his career as a record producer for Slum Village, Black Milk made his debut rap appearance on Phat Kat's The Undeniable LP in 2004. He released his debut solo album, Sound of the City Vol. 1, in 2005 independently. In 2007, he released his second album, Popular Demand, on Fat Beats, which was followed by Tronic in 2008. That same year, he released the Fat Ray collaboration album, The Set Up. In 2010, he released his fourth album, Album of the Year. Black Milk collaborated with Danny Brown on Black and Brown! in 2011. In 2013, he released his final album for Fat Beats, No Poison No Paradise. In 2014, he released the album If There's a Hell Below on Computer Ugly. In 2016, he released the jazz/soul album The Rebellion Sessions with group Nat Turner.
