Philip Brandon Martin (born 31 October 1978), better known by his stage name Bishop Lamont, is an American rapper from Los Angeles, California. Martin signed to Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment in 2005, and spent five years on the label without releasing any official or commercial material. Martin has claimed he is the only Dr. Dre affiliate besides Eminem to make Dre uncomfortable, due to his controversial gangsta-influenced lyrics. Martin is widely believed to be one of the more prominent rappers on Dr. Dre's highly anticipated but unreleased album Detox. Martin released five mixtapes and recorded over 700 songs, many of which remain unreleased, while signed to Aftermath before leaving the label in January 2010.
His debut studio album, The Reformation G.D.N.I.A.F.T, was released in 2016 on Monster Jam Sanctuary.
