Curtis Donnell Davis (August 7, 1968 - June 15, 2002), better known by his stage name Big Mello, was an American rapper from Houston, Texas. In the 1980s, he attended Texas Southern University, where he studied music and broadcasting. He worked as a volunteer disc jockey on the campus radio station, KTSU-FM.
He made his debut in 1992 with the album Bone Hard Productions Presents: Bone Hard Zaggin, which was released on the Rap-A-Lot Records label. He later joined the Screwed Up Click and was one of its most prominent members during the mid-1990s. During his music career, he performed live alongside rappers such as Scarface and Tupac Shakur.
On 15 June 2002, Davis was killed when his car hit a pillar in the 4500 block of South Loop West in Houston. Davis was married and living in Missouri City at the time of his death.[1]
