Justin Lewis Scott (born August 26, 1986), better known by his stage name Big K.R.I.T., is an American rapper and record producer from Meridian, Mississippi. He began his music career in 2005 and released multiple mixtapes. Scott first rose to prominence with the release of his sixth mixtape, K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, in 2010, and prompted a contract with Def Jam Recordings. In 2012, he released his debut studio album, Live from the Underground, which debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200.
Scott's second album, Cadillactica, was released in 2014 and also peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200. In 2016, he announced his departure from Def Jam and launched his own record label, Multi Alumni, the following year. Scott released his next two studio albums, 4eva Is a Mighty Long Time (2017) and K.R.I.T. Iz Here (2019), independently.
