Aramis616 (born in Grand Rapids, Michigan) is an American rapper, rap producer, and recording engineer. He first fell for rap and hip-hop after hearing the late Coolio's "Fantastic Voyage". Out of all his influences, his biggest inspiration is DJ Quik. He began rapping and making his own beats as far back as the late 1990s under his original stage name, Silhouette, prior to changing it in 2002. Sometimes he simply goes by Aramis. He was one-half of the duo. Tha Leaderz, before he and Danny Rosea each went solo. As a comic book, anime, and video game fan, nerdcore or bit-hop is one of his specialties. As far as the producers who inspired him, they're the aforementioned DJ Quik, Erick Sermon, and DJ Premier. After more than a decade as Aramis616, his debut album, Sleight of Hand (under the pseudonym Aramis) dropped on January 20, 2015. His next album, Hidden Agenda, followed exactly the next year. Then, Virtuoso dropped on April 25, 2017. The EP, Unami, showed up on July 2, 2018. Another EP, Therapy, showed up on August 30, 2019. His latest EP, Six Paths, made its presence on April 1, 2021.
